Linn County Conservation Department and the City of Center Point have been working on the transfer of ownership of Wakema Park. As of May 15, 2012, the transfer was official. Wakema Park is now property of the City of Center Point.
The change did NOT affect those with existing reservations. In fact not is much is expected to change about making reservations at Wakema Park for the future. However, in order to make reservations, one must stop by the City of Center Point Administration office, located at 200 Franklin St (Center Point).
The City of Center Point hosted an open house on Wednesday, May 23rd to celebrate the completion of the transfer and showcase their new facility.

What about geocaches that have been hidden with permission of the Linn County Parks, are they still all right?
Let me check with Center Point and I will get back to you!
