Linn County Conservation Department has a staff of 30+ people who are responsible for all 7,015+ acres and 25+ areas. The county is divided into three districts: Wapsipinicon District, North Cedar District, and South Cedar District. Each district has a resource manager, assistant resource manager, and resource technicians.

The Natural Resources team and the Services team supports the entire county. The Conservation Education team works at various places throughout the county, but is located at the Wickiup Hill Learning Center. The administrative team supports reservations, accounts payable and special programs such as Operation ReLeaf. The Conservation Department has one planner and one community outreach manager. The department is led by the Director, Dan Biechler, and Deputy Director, Dennis Goemaat.
